The Best of Ballet  is coming to Spokane, June 14-16 at First Interstate Center for the Arts!

Over the course of the weekend, the audience will get to see ballet stars such as Tiler Peck and Roman Meija from the New York City BalletAdji Cissoko and Shuaib Elhassan from the Alonso King’s LINES BalletAaron Robison from the San Francisco BalletRasmus Alghren from the Boston BalletAviva Gefler Mundl, Kate Inoue and Marcos Ramirez from the Los Angeles Ballet, Fabrice Calmels, former first soloist of the Joffrey Ballet, Andrea Lassakova, Ekaterina Malkovich, Constantine Geronik, and more from the World Ballet Company, along with local companies’ presentations, such as Company Ballet School and Ballet Arts Academy performing on one stage.  

See the most spectacular performances from the most iconic ballets, such as Romeo and Juliet, Carmen, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Giselle, Don Quixote and many more classical and modern works.

FRIDAY: DAY 1 – OPENING GALA

All stars on one stage in Spokane!

Be treated to iconic works such as excerpts from the timeless Swan Lake, showcasing the haunting White Swan Adagio danced by the WBC Principal Dancer Andrea Lassakova, and the fan favorite, the Dance of the Little Swans. See Adji Cissoko and Shuaib Elhassan of the Alonzo King’s LINES ballet perform the celebrated duets, and the renowned soloist of the San Francisco Ballet Aaron Robison gracing the stage. Be treated to the charming Flower Festival in Genzano performed by Marcos Ramirez and Kate Inoue of Los Angeles Ballet. Don’t miss a rare chance to enjoy the performance of the Guinness Record holder, Fabrice Carmels, former premiere dancer of the Jeoffrey Ballet. This is definitely a night to remember!

SATURDAY: DAY 2 – BALLET BLOCKBUSTERS

Most iconic works in ballet all in one night!

Our Master of Ceremonies, the fan-favorite Jester from Swan Lake opens the evening off with a bang. 

We are joined by superstar ballerina Tiler Peck and fellow principal dancer Roman Mejia of the New York City Ballet who will dance George Balanchine’s show-stopping Tchaikovsky Pas de deux. See the performances of Aaron Robison of San Francisco Ballet, Ekaterina Malkovich of WBC, Rasmus Alghren of Boston Ballet, and many more!

Selections such as the seductive Black Swan Pas de deux and the iconic bedroom pas de deux from Romeo and Juliet give audiences a taste of the very best that ballet has to offer. Tragic stories such as The Dying Swan and Giselle are juxtaposed by Don Quixote which will light up the stage. 

A must-see evening, performed by some of the leading dancers of our time.

SUNDAY: DAY 3 – CLOSING GALA

Celebrate the best ballet has to offer!

Our closing gala will feature immensely diverse and masterful repertoire. Audiences are treated to the virtuoso Gopak solo which will awe audiences with its incredible pyrotechnical tricks. 

The stars of the evening, Tiler Peck and Roman Meija of New York City Ballet will perform the dazzling pas de deux from Star & Stripes, George Balanchine’s ode to America.

Carmen Suite, danced by Aviva Gelfer-Mundl and Rasmus Ahlgren of Los Angeles Ballet and Boston Ballet, respectively, will electrify audiences with its infamous George Bizet Score. Enjoy the performances of the renowned dancers such as Ekaterina Malkovich, Fabrice Calmels, Andrea Lassakova and many more!
